About Me

Leszek Kusal

It all started some forty years ago when I developed my first, very own B&W photographs. Seeing the images emerging from white sheets of photographic paper seems like a true miracle to me. A miracle I knew I would pursue my whole life to come. I have been photographing ever since, mostly for my own pleasure, sometimes commercially but more often pro bono; as part of my own projects or on commission.

I believe it is incredibly important to record everyday life, not only to document the passage of time or for a better understanding of our times, but for those in the future to be able to reflect on where they come from. Photography, as a universal language, bridges time and cultures, an image speaks to the whole of humanity, now and in the future.

The photographers I most admire go out into the world with a sense of wonder and arrogance, challenging our complacency and offering a fresh perspective for better or worse. In my own way, I aspire to contribute to this profound mission.

Personally, I find great artistic joy in working with emerging images, navigating ever-changing environments and lighting conditions in search of the perfect shot. This pursuit is both my aesthetic pleasure and artistic fulfillment.

Hence my irresistible desire to share my digital repository and encourage others to visit and experience them.
