Travels

Photography is a way of documenting my life, which has been a permanent travel for a very long time already. I have been lucky to live and work in several amazing countries and my photos are meant to document this. I hope I have used this time wisely to make the most of the ever-changing surroundings and experiences. Let’s travel the world changing in my back yard.

Georgia – Capital City Tbilisi

Here is Tbilisi – the vibrant heart of Georgia bursting with colors! Tbilisi is where tradition meets modernity. We stroll through streets where ancient architecture and statues tell their stories. Golden-domed churches, balconies, and towers catch our eye, and elements of the old city blend with modern skyscrapers. In the lively alleyways, we discover exhibitions, market stalls, and smiling vendors.

South Africa – Lesedi Cultural Village

Upon entering Lesedi Village and being welcomed by the chief, we can immerse ourselves in the mystical cultures and traditions of the nations of Southern Africa. The name of the village, Zulu for “light,” showcases Ndebele tribe houses, intricate costumes, and mysterious rituals. We encounter Zulus, Basotho, Xhosa, and Pedi, each ethnic group unveiling their cultural richness before us.

United Arab Emirates – Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi

Each gallery of the museum is meticulously designed to showcase and emphasize unique masterpieces and exhibits from different eras and cultures. Detailed and colorful shots capture moments of splendor, offering glimpses into the greatness of the past. Louvre Abu Dhabi is a magical place that takes us on a journey through centuries of history.

United Arab Emirates – Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi

Embark on a magnificent journey to the heart of culture and beauty. Qasr al Watan, open to the public, reveals its majestic interiors. Its harmonious design, exclusive decorations, and exquisite details transport us into the world of Arabian elegance. Golden columns and intricately crafted mosaics bring the space to life, while an omnipresent aura of dignity enchants at every step. This icon of art and culture has been recognized worldwide. It’s a place worth seeing.

Namibia – Namib Desert

In the heart of the Namib Desert, close to the famous Sossusvlei, lies Deadvlei – the white clay desert, also known as the “dead marsh” or “dead valley.” Surrounded by the world’s tallest dunes, reaching heights of 300-400 meters, it is a paradise for photographers. The contrast between the black trees and the bleached desert knots, as well as the rusty-red dunes against the deep blue sky, creates extraordinary images that both captivate and sometimes terrify.

Rwanda – Safari in Akagera National Park

Surrounded by scenic views, Lake Ihema is a gem in Akagera National Park, located in the southern part of the Eastern Province of Rwanda. The lake is home to hippos, crocodiles, and approximately 550 bird species, including unique species such as the shoebill (Balaeniceps rex) and the yellow-billed shrike (Laniarius mufumbiri).

Rwanda – Capital City Kigali

I invite you to Kigali, the largest city in Rwanda and its capital. This picturesque metropolis rises on hills and thrives in valleys. Bursting with restaurants and markets, this dynamic city comes alive at night. Ubiquitous murals, graffiti, markets, and craftsmanship assault you with colors and vitality. However, this vibrant city also carries dark memories associated with the Rwandan civil war. It’s worth visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a place of remembrance and education dedicated to the victims of the Rwandan genocide.

Rwanda – Volcanoes National Park

Welcome to Volcanoes National Park, where mountains meet the rainforest, creating a unique landscape. The volcanic peaks of Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabyinyo emanate majesty and power. But that’s not all – it’s also the home of gorillas and golden monkeys, who, along with other creatures, are an integral part of this picturesque adventure. Prepare to meet our wild neighbors as you immerse yourself in natural harmony and beauty.

Rwanda – Karongi District

Venture into the enchanting world of Rwanda, where night fishermen embark on the lake in search of sambaza and tilapia. Lanterns illuminate their path, creating a scenic dance of light. Despite the challenges of fishing and modest catches, you won’t see resignation on their faces, but rather perseverance. Rwanda offers extraordinary beauty and cultural harmony that are worth experiencing.
